Hi, I'm Angie!
Long before KOTi 28 existed, I spent two years living and teaching in Finland. It was there that I fell in love with the Nordic way of living. Homes that feel calm, intentional, functional, and beautifully lived in. That experience stayed with me and quietly influenced how I designed my own home for years.
After a 28-year career in education, serving as a school principal for most of it, I decided it was time to build something entirely my own.
People often ask how I went from education to home décor. The truth is, the skills transferred more naturally than I ever imagined. Leadership taught me how to build relationships. Education taught me how to listen. Management taught me how to create meaningful experiences, solve problems, and bring people together around a shared vision. KOTi 28 was born from all of those experiences.
What began as a small home décor boutique has grown into a thoughtfully curated lifestyle brand rooted in quality, connection, and timeless design.
Over the past four years, I've had the privilege of welcoming thousands of customers into the KOTi 28 community and collaborating with local builders, designers, realtors, and fellow women-owned businesses who share a love for beautiful spaces.
Today, KOTi 28 has found its new home inside Showroom Furniture + Lighting in Stittsville. This elevated shop-inside-a-shop experience brings together furniture, lighting, and carefully curated home décor and lifestyle pieces under one roof. We’ve created a destination where every detail works together to help you imagine and create a home you love. It's a modern retail experience built on collaboration, thoughtful design, and exceptional customer service.
My approach has always been simple: curate fewer, better pieces. Pieces that feel timeless rather than trendy. Pieces that add warmth, texture, and intention to everyday living.
I believe home isn't about perfection. It's about creating a space that reflects your story, welcomes the people you love, and makes you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door.
